Zoom It was a mauling. The ‘Canes used the 1991 Cotton Bowl to show the world that nobody was better. With 6 minutes left in the 3rd the ‘Canes were up 26-3. That didn’t matter to Randal Hill because he hadn’t caught a pass all day. At that moment he told QB Craig Erickson “I don’t care what route you just gave me, I’m running a go route, and you WILL throw me the ball.” Erickson listened, Randal took it 48 yards up the sidelines, all the way through the end zone and out of the Cotton Bowl’s tunnel. A few seconds later he came back firing the 6 shooters at the Longhorns. Everybody was pissed. Who cares though, the hater’s are gonna hate anyway.
